Reducing the heat island effect

Brasov City has approximately a quarter of a million inhabitants and, like any other city, it faces various climate change-related issues. We would like to increase citizens' awareness on climate changes, both regarding the challenges and the possible solutions. For Climathon 2017 the challenge for the citizens of Brasov City is reducing the heat island effect in the city. By bringing together interested citizens, young people, students, professors, companies and city representatives we aim at focusing our efforts in solving this climate change challenge, while identifying other challenges.
