Climathon is coming in Piatra Neamț!
Climate impacts are touching every part of the globe - but you know best the climate challenges our community is facing.
Climathon is a global movement that is organised locally; a city-based programme that offers a clear pathway to climate action. Take part and join a global community of thousands who want to act now, and rethink the cities we live in and the future we want as citizens.
On 13-14 November, North-East Regional Development Agency, together with our partners, will host a 24 hours Climathon.
At the core of the Climathon programme is the Ideathon, where a diverse group of participants, ranging from policymakers to hackers, youth to academics, students to business leaders, will come together to collaborate on forward-thinking ideas that tackle local climate challenges.

Meet the Organisers
The North-East Regional Development Agency is in charge of regional planning (Regional Development Plan, Regional Innovation Strategy, Smart Specialization Strategy), management of the EU Structural Funds (Regional Operational Programme), attraction of foreign direct investments, business support (Enterprise Europe Network Centre) and EU relations, namely developed through the own Representation office in Bruxelles. As a regional planning organisation, it mobilizes local and regional stakeholders in the elaboration of realistic and comprehensive socio-economic analysis and development strategy for the region, encompassing all the relevant fields for the territory: economy, infrastructures, innovation, human resources, education, environment etc. The Agency manages the funds allocated for the region (ROP), in the fields of technology transfer, SME competitiveness, business support infrastructures and services, transition to a low carbon economy, sustainable urban development, cultural heritage, transport infrastructures, tourism, health, education and social infrastructure.
