Circular City: From Green to Gold
Cities and urban areas are sources of different waste streams including biological and organic waste. However, such biological and organic waste can also represent biological materials for other uses. These can come from the city’s own biomass production such as grass, trees or urban agriculture, as well as from imported sources like food.
The challenge is how to reduce or utilize waste produced from biological and organic sources locally in a regenerative way that would enable a simple circulation of biological materials and would generate and retain new value in the local economy of the city and would re-create conditions conductive to life. This challenge will be applied to specific interests, needs, facilities and capabilities of the city of Ljubljana.
The challenge is a common challenge with the city of Maribor and we will be preparing the challenge together while addressing specific needs of each city.
After the official deadline, the application to participate is possible directly by email to info@cmpp.si
