Climathon Trondheim 2020 - student track
Friday, November 13, 2020
Climathon is a global movement that organises locally, a city-based programme that offers a clear pathway to bottom-up climate action. At its core, a yearly ideathon takes place in over one hundred cities across many continents and time-zones. The City of Trondheim has been a Climathon host since 2016. During the previous four rounds, the participants came together to collaborate on forward-thinking ideas that tackle local climate challenges over the span of intensive 24 hours.
2020 has been a challenging year in many aspects, but we’ve learned that crisis usually brings opportunities. For the first time, Climathon Trondheim launches a dedicated student track and goes fully digital. The main event will be a 12-hour-long digital ideathon. There will be some warm-up events where the participants can meet in advance.
Trondheim Municipality and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) work closely to pull this year’s events together. Climathon Trondheim 2020 is yet another example that showcases the University City TRD3.0, an unique and pioneering model.
Climathon Trondheim 2020 is a deliverable of the EU project "Positive City Exchange (+CityxChange)". The city challenge this year aims to put focus on how to engage local communities in the energy transition. The participants will be invited to zoom in and come up with innovative ideas for the five demonstration areas (Sluppen, Elgeseter, Midtbyen, Brattøra and Nyhavna) in the "Knowledge Axis" of Trondheim.
Are you a student in Trondheim and want to join the co-creation of "Zero Emission Neighbourhood" and “Positive Energy Districts” for the future?
Sign up ASAP!! The number of tickets is limited.

Not this time. Each participant signs up as individual. The organiser will set up the teams with participants from different backgrounds.
You need a PC with good internet access, as this event is fully digital. And prepare your own food and drink for the breaks, of course. We recomment light meals like sandwiches or salads, fruits and healthy snacks, as there will not be too much time to eat.
